NEC.High Voltage Solutions transformers certified for use in Kazakhstan

Voltage transformers manufactured by the NEC.High Voltage Solutions division, part of the NEC Group, have been certified for use in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The equipment has successfully completed the required recognition procedure and has been entered into the country’s state register of measuring instruments. This expands the division’s opportunities to supply equipment to energy and industrial facilities in Kazakhstan. Certificate No. 3095 was issued by the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan in late July 2026 and is valid until October 2029. TNG voltage transformers are used in high-voltage networks and ensure the operation of electricity measurement and commercial metering systems, relay protection, and emergency automation systems. They convert high voltage into a safe signal for measuring instruments and protection devices. The transformers can be used at power generation facilities, including thermal power plants, hydroelectric power plants, and nuclear power plants, as well as at 110-220 kV substations, major industrial enterprises, transport infrastructure facilities, and renewable energy facilities. SF6 gas insulation provides explosion protection and reduces maintenance requirements. The equipment is resistant to high levels of dust and is designed for operation in areas with seismic activity of up to 9 points. The certification expands NEC.High Voltage Solutions’ opportunities in the Kazakhstan market and enables the division to participate in new energy and infrastructure projects in the country. The inclusion of the transformers in the state register also creates opportunities for further expansion of equipment supplies to Central Asia.
